Session 30 (Toutorix) - A Warning Sent

The dangers lay below us. We rested upon evil itself.
 This tower was overtaken. How long she would let us dally about was answered this day.
 A sense overcame me and I took her Barbarian captive to scout the exterior.
 Her signs were easy to read. Her message was clear.
 Quickly we tried to barricade but it was too late.
 Her ice spiders overcame us. But we drove them back.
 Either to their deaths or back to the tundra with our message -
 She will die by our hands. We come for her now.

3 - 4' of Snow covering the plains

The demon children head up the stairs to attack Phelan, Fenroy, and Toutorix.
Khirr stands in front of the main gate battling an Ice Troll!!!

Toutorix fires arrows at the creatures and notices that they absorb into the flaming bodies. They do no damage to them.

Phelan fires magic missles to end the demon-children.

Khirr slays the Ice troll.

Fenroy sets up a lab to create potions.

The two trackers go outside in the snow and check out the surrounding area. The see that the troll came from the north and see other tracks from ice spiders.

The group hunkers down to for the evening to set out in the morning.

Khirr has first watch and hears the spiders from outside, surrounding the tower.

"You are all going to die! She is going to turn you into slaves like the CHILDREN!"
"Come outside you barbarian bitch!"

The battle ensues and they group beats up the minion ice spiders.

The large queen gets away to fight another day.

The smoke clears. The disaster before them reveals Adfric the dead.

The group finds 2 barbarians chained to the wall. One is a female the other a male.

They free the male (Khirr) but cannot help the deceased female.

The group is exhausted and beaten. They head up to the tower.

Attacked by bloodsuckers, a drider, and archers on the way out.

They make it to the surface and lick their wounds. Thorston Snow is sent back to Theon Branch to give a message.

Khirr releases the soul of his sister beneath the moon

They rest for the night.

Morning

The storm stops leaving 5 feet of snow outside.

Banging at the door below
It heats up and begins to smoke - explodes
Khirr goes to the front door and sees a cave troll coming in from the outside.
The group is doomed.

Idol room

Bloody and battered the group decides to rest for the remainder of the day. They eat, heal and recover.

The next morning.....

Sunday

Morning

They awake in the idols head and decide to go down.

Toutorix finds some secret doors that reveal a Wand of Wonder and a Gelatinous Cube.

The rest of the group battles some lizard men. They defeat them with some ease.

Mr. Magic User uses the wand and turns himself 5 inches tall.

They decide to go down the stairway deeper into the idol.

They come to a room 10 feet across and three doors.

A cackling femle voice says:

"Ahhhh, Soon we will destroy the humans like we destroyed the elves!"

Could this be linked to the disappearance of the elves?

Fenroy negates the darkness spell with the dwarven mace.

In front of the group is a long dining table with a drow elf woman, 6 men of Xax, and 2 Large lizardmen.

The men of Xax ask: "Al-Jezeer, what is thy bidding?"

She commands them to attack but Phelan has something to say about that.....

FIREBALL!!!!

Killing all of Al-Jezeers henchmen/guests.

The heros dive for cover..... Adfric trips and is charred in the blast.

Adfric cries: "Long live the king of the North!!!!!"
